the full board then votes on the matter. The fourteen attorney directors shall be composed as follows: One attorney director shall be selected by the governing body of a county or municipal bar association operating within each of the eleven service areas as specified within the bylaws. Two attorney directors shall be appointed by a county or municipal bar association or other organization operating within the service area having an interest in the delivery of legal services to the poor. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b A Grant Accountant prepares the form 990 using the financial information from the audited financial statements. After reviewing the financial and other information, the Finance Director submits a copy to the auditor and Board for review. The auditor's staff and Board reviews the form 990 and will submit comments for consideration. The final review is made by the Executive Director prior to signing and filing the form 990. Understands that PSLS is a charitable organization and in order to maintain its federal tax exemption, it must engage primarily in activities that accomplish one or more of its tax-exempt purposes. In anticipation of a key staff member retirement, there is a significant reorganization of financial staff responsibilities in progress which caused in late start on this annual Form 990 process. As a result, the grant accountant tasked with filing the 8868 E-filing extension form failed to do so before the 5/15 due date of the Form 990.
