We do this by partnering with and brainstorming with community councils in Southeast Haiti to discover ways we can empower rural Haitian leaders to make change for their own community. We do this primarily through 4 categories that consist of: healthcare, education, recreation, and wealth creation. Rural Education - in 2023 we funded 18 classrooms in Southeast Haiti in partnership with local community schools. Over 500 students received a primary or secondary school education because of this program and more than 20 educators were compensated for their work in our program 898 33479 Rural Soccer program - we hosted several youth soccer tournaments in southeast Haiti in 2023, partnering with 10 different schools to encourage community participation in school and sports. Over 80 student athletes competed against each other throughout the school year. 0 6274 Rural Healthcare - we partner with a small Haitian healthcare team and provide funding for them to provide public healthcare in 3 different communities in Southeast Haiti. Our small team helped treat over 1,500 patients in rural Southeast Haiti in 2023. 0 24652 Haitian Administration and HQ support - this expense is related to everything associated with organizing travel, organizing communications and logistics for projects, purchasing supplies, and providing occasional lodging for our Haitian partners within Haiti when needed for them to successfully complete their work. This expense benefited approximately 40 of our partners in Southeast Haiti throughout the year. 0 27308 Wealth Creation projects - we helped facilitate training and ongoing logistics for 6 microfinance groups in Southeast Haiti. Because of this shift, there was no paid staff member in charge of filing our 990 and thus we are filing late when our volunteer was able to find time to do so.
