Members may join individually or public defense offices may join as office members entitling employees to membership. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a Individual members elect representatives to the board of directors. There are six individual member representatives, two per each of the three appellate court divisions in Washington State. Individual members may vote for representatives nominated from each division. The board of directors nominating committee may nominate individual members for election or members may be nominated by at least four individual member peers. Office member directors or their designees may nominate and elect office member representatives for 15 office member representative positions on the board.
