There were multiple different bank Venmo and Paypal accounts. All financial tracking was done manually and separately by different people all volunteers. Neither organization had been required to file anything more than a Form 990-N in prior years. We struggled to get everything transferred onto a common bookkeeping system and encountered delays in transferring all the accounts and the records to that system. The person who was leading the project left the organization in September 2023 and we've have had to reorganize the system from it's first iteration. We were delayed in closing the books for FY2022 which also had us miss the extension filing deadline. We are requesting relief from any penalties for our late filing.
