This total reflects adult cats and kittens from our 3 metro pounds in Moorhead, MN, Fargo, ND and West Fargo, ND. The metropolitan area has been no-kill for well over 12 years. We also receive multiple rescues from the surrounding area, some with medical emergencies needing critical care. Cats Cradle Shelter works to educate the citizens of our community in the proper and humane care of not only cats, but all animals. Cats Cradle has over 100 volunteers working at the shelter, with dozens of additional foster volunteers. We have critical care foster, bottle fosters, adult fosters, orphan fosters and palliative care fosters. Our palliative care fosters provide a comfortable, loving home for seniors cats (with chronic medical conditions making them less adoptable) to live out their remaining weeks, months or years. Cats Cradle Shelter pays for all of their food, litter and medical care for the remainder of these cat's lives. We focus on rescuing adoptable cats from the three local pounds, and preventing their euthanasia.
