For the 2021 tax year, Donald Shepardson was our IRS responsible party charged with filing the 990EZ form. He presented the 2021 990EZ to me for my signature as President and he mailed the form in. On July 3, 2023, we received a letter from the IRS stating that our 990EZ for the 2021 tax year was never filed. Unfortunately, Mr. Shepardson died due to complications of contracting Covid-19 in the Spring of 2023. Thus, I have added the office of Treasurer to my duties as President. Mr. Shepardson's widow did not forward on to us our association's correspondence addressed to him until late September 2023. Upon receipt of your July 3, 2023, letter from Mrs. Shepardson, I immediately made a copy of our 2021 990EZ form and mailed it to the Ogden, UT office. We have received an additional letter, dated February 26, 2024 stating that this form needs to be filed electronically within 10 days. Which I have now done today.
