Part I, Line 16 Greater Detroit Community provides community affairs throughout the year. These funds are used to support the programs. Weekly fund raising events to hlp fundd the organization. Greater Detroit Community Outreach Center provides its community center hall for fund raising act. The funds help enable the center to keep its doors open. The center's services to the public have three basic functions. The First, is the in home sex education counselling to get parents and youth to begin discussing the issue of sex before sexual activity begins among the youth. Moreover, the focus is to reinforce values already in the homes. Second, the group counseling sessions. These sessions are attended by both children and parents. The focus is to get families together to collectively engage in efforts to prevent teen parenthood. Finally, the center provides speaking engagements to help the community to focus on prevention as well as service.
