Many of the neighborhoods NCBWSF serves, too frequently esperience trauma associated with gun violence, making this a prime issue for motivating voter participation.Over the course of planning coversations, the group detremined the most impactful way to address the issue would be at the polls-engaging more community members in the policy determination process. The three most successful aspects to achieve this were community engagement forums, providing information on voting, and working at the polls realize that politics and voter registration are difficult conversations with minoritiesAfrican Americans.
