D. Mack Foundation's mission of improving the quality of life through improving the awareness of the impact of dementia and schizophrenia in communities. Through its work, the foundation serves to bridge the gaps in dementia and schizophrenia health services while also furthering entrepreneurial development skills that will aide in creating income, opportunity, and economic growth. Focused on the increased awareness of the impact of dementia and schizophrenia, the Foundation strives to break down the stigma that is often associated with these types of mental illnesses. Unfortunately, this delay was primarily caused by personal circumstances experienced by the Founding Director. During the time of filing, the Founding Director was facing significant challenges in their personal life. Specifically, their father was dealing with health issues that required their utmost attention and care. As a result, the filing of the 2022 990 went unnoticed amidst these pressing family matters. Tragically, in April of 2023, the Founding Director's eldest brother succumbed to cancer. This devastating loss further impacted their ability to give the necessary focus and attention to the foundation's finances and programming. Consequently, the organization experienced a decline in its financial resources and was unable to meet the programming needs as expected. However, it is important to emphasize that we are not allowing these circumstances to hinder our progress. We have regrouped and are actively working towards getting back on track. Our primary objective is to provide essential services to the community, focusing on mental health support, entrepreneurship, and engagement through public programming. We sincerely apologize for the delay in filing and would like to offer this explanation as a reasonable cause for the late submission. We understand the importance of adhering to all regulatory requirements and are taking the necessary steps to rectify the situation promptly. Thank you for your understanding and support.
