The Cold Spring Elementary School PTA had previously been under the group exemption of the PTA Maryland Congress of Parents and Teachers, Inc. with a tax year of July 1 through June 30. As the group exemption holder has changed, our fiscal year also inadvertently changed to January 1 - December 31. This association had not requested that our fiscal year change. I am requesting that it be reassigned to our previously reported schedule (July 1 through June 30). An officer from an associated Delaware PTA unit called the IRS to inquire about a 990 filing. The agent she spoke with instructed her to resolve in this manner. The Cold Spring Elementary School PTA EIN is: 52-1317972 I am the Treasurer of this association. Please let me know if you have questions or if I need to use another mechanism to request reinstatement of our prior reporting fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).
