The School also received federal grants passed through the Arizona State department of Education. These funds are used in accordance with the requirements set forth by the State of Arizona and/or the federal government. Pt VI, Line 11b The Form 990 is prepared by an independent CPA; after completion of the Form, the CPA provides the draft to the Executive Director for review. The Executive Director asks questions as necessary then provides approval of the Form. The reviewed 990 is provided to the Board of Directors for final review and any changes are made prior to the submission of the final form. Pt VI, Line 12c If there is a conflict of interest, that individual with the conflict is not allowed to vote on those topics in board meetings. In addition, any perceived conflict of interest by another governing council board member must be clearly stated and the member in question must recuse him/herself whether they agree or not, to avoid all appearance of impropriety.
