We hosted three larger scale voter registration drives, the largest being National Muslim Voter Registration Day (NMVRD), where we registered community members at masjids across the metro-Atlanta area. 8328 8328 Voter Engagement: To mobilize our communities during local election season in November, GAMVP hosted Prayers to the Polls events, phone banked, text banked, door knocked, and collected voter pledges. GAMVP had over 500 phone conversations and sent out over 100,000 texts. GAMVP also partnered with a 501(c)3 tech startup, Branch Politics, to provide a non-partisan ballot lookup tool to voters across the state. A voter could enter their address which would pull up a sample ballot and guide to all the election officials. Voters could read about and compare candidates across several issues, save their choices, and print them out to bring with them to the ballot box on Election Day.
