For God and Country we advocate for veterans educate our citizens mentor youth and promote patriotism good citizenship peace and security. In August 2023 the Auxiliary held an ice cream social that was open to Auxiliary Legion members and the General Public. In addition to the ice cream and food a DJ provided music a face painter and balloon artist and bounce house were there for the children 0 1479 To promote Americanism the Auxiliary sponsored an essay contest with a local elementary school. Members of the Auxiliarys Essay Committee reviewed and decided the winners in each grade level. $ prizes were awarded. In addition the winners were presented a certificate by the VP of the Auxiliary. 0 285 For several months of the year a take out dinner is available for the general public to purchase. Auxiliary and Legion members work together to prepare and serve the meals. Donations total $16,803. The required 60% donations to 501 c 3 Organizations were made in November 2024 for the Small Games of Chance that was generated in May and June.
