Sponsorship of an International Society of Ocular Oncology meeting which enabled a multi-day collaboration of international physicians, medical providers, and others involved in treating ocular cancer (including specific meetings on retinoblastoma) to share research and ideas to improve treatment of the disease. In addition, this included support of an international Child Life program through distribution of funds to support a child-life specialist travelling to the meeting in order to provide coaching and training at the meeting. 13995 0 Family meet-up events for survivors and families impacted by retinoblastoma. We have hosted over 300 attendees across events in cities including Chicago, Washington D.C., South California, and Denver. This enabled survivors and their families to meet others impacted by the disease and its long-term effects (such as blindness) and provide practical and social support to each other outside of a medical setting. These events reduced the psychological stress and loneliness of being a survivor and family member of a rare childhood cancer.
