In collaboration with Family Court, Child Protective Services, Recovery, Maternal & Child Health providers, care coordination and community partnerships help equip mothers to keep their families intact through support, services and resources. The daily operational functions were transferred to Jefferson County Resource Center effective June 1, 2022. The Safe Care Program was expanded to include Calhoun County in late 2022 and successfully continued to expand in 2023. In late 2023 we expanded into Mobile County. CPC retained policy and procedure issues and the outstate expansion of the program. 11869 Campaign for 3rd Grade Reading. CPC continued to expand this program by placing a book vending machine in the lobby of the Jefferson County Family Courthouse. In an effort to support students reading on grade level by third grade, we are targeting younger children (toddler to third grade) with this vending machine. Tokens are free to our little friends who come to family court. While we have been involved in various activities for years, we have not included the Evergreen Programs in the past. Some of our focus has shifted and will continue to do so upon request of Family Court. We have utilized grants and donations of money and books to operate this program and will do so in the future On the 2022 990 we explained the handoff to partner organizations of The Family Reunification Program and the Child Trafficking Solutions Project and thought it appropriate to remove from Schedule B.
