Members consist of any individual or entity interested in supporting the mission of the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce. The categories of membership are Active (dues paying members with full voting rights)and Courtesy (non-dues paying members recommended by the Executive Director and approved by the Board without voting rights). Member election for additional members Part VI line 7a Directors of the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce are elected by a popular majority vote of Active members through online or paper ballots. Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11 The draft Form 990 is prepared by a Certified Public Accountant and a copy of the Form 990 is provided to all Board Members prior to filing. Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12c The Conflict of Interest Policy requires member disclosure of an interest in any concern that has transactions with the organization. Board and members approve reasonable payments for services not to exceed fair market value to interested members. Governing documents etc available to public Part VI line 19 The Big Bear Chamber of Commerces governing documents and financial statements are available to the public upon request.
