Activities of the society are conducted for scientific purposes, for the advancement and promulgation of knowledge regarding the area of infectious diseases, and for the facilitation of personal relationships among investigators in the subject of infectiousdiseases related to obstetrics and gynecology. The meeting provided three days of broad continuing education with an emphasis on infectious diseases. IDSOG members fill important leadership positions at local, regional, and national levels. Life fellows are active fellows who are voted or transferred into life fellowship. They have all the privileges of the society except to vote on the admission of new members, and they do not pay dues. Honorary fellows are nominated and elected by the council. They have all the privileges of the society except the right to vote or hold office. They do not pay dues. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a Members elect the Board of Directors. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7b 90% approval of existing fellows is required for new members to enter IDSOG. Also, to change the bylaws requires a 2/3 vote of fellows present at the meeting.
