Additionaly, ALAS will help youth with disabilities become effective self-advocates. ALAS accomplishes the aforementioned objectives by disseminating information, providing individual support and conducting leadership-skills development training workshops. ALAS utilizes many information dissemination venues to reach its audience and community out large, amongst website, social media, newsletters, media, exhibits, mass postal mailings, local postings, community visits, word of mouth, partners website links, email blasts, Core topics and emerging issues trainings. ALAS provides individual support by having individual consultations, making service and resource referrals, providing translation and interpretation services, attending IEP meetings, participating in case conferences, and facilitating mentoring and peer support groups. ALAS provides leadership development by facilitating youth self-advocacy training and support groups, providing networking activities and opportunities for the families, conducting parent leadership training and support, facilitating trainings on systems change issues, conducting Serving in Decision Making Group and Support Decision-making trainings. Information Dissemination - we reach over 2500 people per month. Individual Support - School months between 100-150 per month, summer months between 70-90 per month. Leadership Development - we have an average of 60 participants per month. Children served during leadership development averages 50 per month.
