In 2023, we were able to team up with Miami-Dade County Public Schools Migrant Family Program and assist over 600 families at two large events, one in the summer as schools started and one before the holidays. Back To School: NEIGHBORS 4 NEIGHBORS, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CHILDREN'S SERVICES COUNCIL OF BROWARD COUNTY AND CONNECT FAMILIAS, ENSURES THAT MINORITY, LOW-INCOME STUDENTS GO BACK TO SCHOOL WITH THE SUPPLIES THEY NEED TO START THE YEAR READY FOR SUCCESS. In 2023, we helped 17,000 families get back to school supplies, uniforms, and shoes for the new school year. Mental Health Support: In partnership with the Children's Services Council of Broward, we are aiming to break the stigma of getting mental help. The stress of the past year has brought to the forefront that many are struggling and don't know where to turn or think that mental health resources aren't for them. We aim to encourage them to get help and understand that it's OK, not to be OK.
