Provide additional details supporting the Statement of Program Service Go Ye Harvest is a Religious Organization/Public Charity focused on outreach ministry including sharing the gospel, conducting religious services, bible studies and prayer sessions along providing meals, food boxes, limited small grants to assist with groceries, hotel bill, etc. During 2022 Go Ye Harvest provided: (1) religious services to the homeless, individuals and families in need at many locations, (2) Bible study sessions with senior citizens and others, (3) more than 3,200 meals and or snacks and more than 800 boxes of food, several grants, housing assistance and bus passes to individuals and families in need, (4) and donations to other ministries. and Reason for Late Filing of Go Ye Harvest Outreach 2022 Tax Return . Reason for Late Filing: Go Ye Harvest Outreach Ministry was organized and incorporated in June 2019. At the time of incorporating the ministry, as we operates as a not-for-profit religious charity ministry with revenue under $50,000 annually, we believed we did not need to file IRS 990 or 990EZ forms, though we did file the 990N. In December of 2023 after reading several IRS documents relating to IRS tax filing requirements, we realized we need to file for an IRS Tax Determination. We filed in January 2024 and received the Determination Letter stating the Ministry was designated as a 501(c)3. The Determination Letter also stated we needed to file Form 990, 990EZ or 990 Postcard for Tax Year 2024. As we were not sure if we should file the 990 Postcard for 2024 and or for the proceeding years, to we elected to file the Form 990-EZ for tax years 2019 through 2022 as the ministry met the requirements of an organizations with gross receipts of less than $200,000 and total assets of less than $500,000 at the end of their tax year. Those forms were filed by mail in April 2024. We received the 2022 filing back from the IRS stating we needed to file all 990s from 2022 electronically. Thanks.
