They are all doctoral students and faculty members in higher education institutions. The association regularly issues the best conference paper awards, the best MOR journal paper awards, and dissertation grants to its members. These individuals may reside overseas. These grants and awards are carefully reviewed by award committees consisting of volunteers. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 The Association has global academic members, mainly PhD students and faculty in higher education institutions. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a The Association conducts officer elections every two years. All payment members can vote and elect officers and board members. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b As governed by the bylaw, association members can vote on a series of decisions regarding the association, such as changes of bylaws, election of officers, etc. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The President reviewed Form 990 and all appendixes prepared by the Treasurer before submission. The treasurer also presented key figures of Form 990 to all Executive Committee members before filling it. In addition, the treasurer presents key financial information the Association revealed in Form 990 to all board members in its annual board meeting, which happens in August after the filling of Form 990. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c The Association has an ethics committee and an official Code of Ethics governing the behaviors of board members. The Codes of Ethics are published on the Association's Official website and were adopted after the voting of members. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 All officers and executive committee members are volunteers who receive no compensation from the Association. The executive committee jointly determined the pay of external contractors. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The organization published its governing documents and conflict of interest policy on its website. Historical financial information and tax return documents are available in the Association's shared drive for executive committee members to access. The financial statements are available to the public upon request.
