MAPB provided written testimony by invitation to the Office of the High Commisisoner for Human Righst (OHCHR) and to the U.N. Expert Mechanism to Advance Racial Justice and Equality in Law Enforcement (EMLER). Founded in 2021, EMLER began a fact-finding mission to the U.S. in April 2023. MAPB served on the planning committee. The first hearing was held April 26 in Atlanta GA. MAPB sponsored in-person testimony by 15 directly impacted families, including MAPBs Legacy Fellows and witnesses from the Atlanta area.
