Management and the Board of Directors continue to evaluate the need and viability of a Spanish Catholic radio station in the Atlanta market. At this time, a firm decision to pursue this plan has not been made. Schedule D, Part X, Line 2 The organization is recognized as an organization exempt from income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (the "Code"). Only unrelated business income, as defined by Section 512(a)(1) of the Code is subject to income taxes. During 2018, all the activities of the organization qualify as exempt activities and do not give rise to unrelated business income. The organization annually evaluates all federal and state income tax positions. This process includes an analysis of whether income tax positions the Organization takes meet the definition of an uncertain tax position under the Income Tax Topic of the Financial Accounting Standards Codification. In general, the organization is subject to tax examinations since December 31, 2020. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The Board of Directors will review Form 990 (and all required schedules) prior to their submission. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c In accordance with our Board approved policy, conflicts of interest must be disclosed to the Board of Directors when such interests may develop and be redisclosed on an annual basis. Our policy also requires the Board of Directors (or appropriate committee) to evaluate each disclosed conflict to determine whether it's an acceptable risk. Where the risk is considered unacceptable, alternative sources for services will be sought and used to eliminate the risk. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 Directors and executive officers of Atlanta Catholic Radio do not receive compensation. The President and CFO has been authorized by the Board to hire programming and other staff. She collects and evaluates market research from recruiting professionals and other sources. This information guides her decisions when considering and hiring qualified individuals. The Board is informed of her hiring plans and decisions.
