The Financial Accounting Standards Board FASB issued accounting standards codification No. 741-10, Accounting for undertain taxes, which sets a minimum threshold for fiancial statement recognition of the beneift of a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. The Foundation has reveiwed its positions for all open tax years and has determined that is has no uncertain tax positions requiring accrual or disclosure. Form 990, Part I, Line 3 To teach the public and professional about foods, lifestyle habits, healing, modalities, and envirnonmental practices that can help people attain vibrant health. The Foudation is committed to being a leading resource for the work of Dr. Weston A. Price, DDS, Franics M. Pottenger, Jr., MD, and others who have discovered the underlying causes of disease and degeneration and how to prevent or reverse these conditons. Form 990, Part III, Line 4a Wellness Project - The Foundation holds live classes both in-person and webcast on a wide range of natural health topics with experts in the respective fields. These were designed to help people heal from chronic health problems an achieve a high state of wellness. Replays of all classes continue to be available on our website. The fee for each is/was based on what an individual can/could afford, including a 0 option. Thousands of individuals attend our classes annually. Form 990, Part III, Line 4a PPNF encourages our youth to take an interest in health and nutriton. Each year, our board members attend the greater San Diego science engineeing fair, where middle and high school students exhibit projects. Prizes were awared to four students to include certificates of recognition, annual memberships and financial awards. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The prelimary 990 is received by the Executive Director and then passed along to the Treasurer and Office Manager for thier approval or questions. If questions arise, the office manager will get clarification of the line items. When the above individuals approve the preliminary 990, the return can be finalized. The finalized 990 will be signed by the Board President. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c All Board Members are required to sign a conflict of interest policy, annually, and disclose any possible conflict of interests. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15a The Executive Director will submit to the Board of Directors, any requests for changes in employee or Director compensation. The Board of Directors has sole authority to change any employee or Directors compensation, in the form of benefits or pay rates.
