The fair gives students the opportunity to learn showmanship skills, animal husbandry, and marketing skills. Line 29) During the Swine in the Pine show we educated youth and adults on the importance of properly showing and handling swine. We demonstrated the proper showmanship techniques and proper hygiene for the animals. Line 30) We foster agricultural education of our county youth in various ways. High School Seniors are provided the opportunity to apply for a scholarship to assist them with higher education in an agriculture related major.
