In addition to regular food collection efforts, the KFB organizes an annual Community Food drive for the KFB and other local food distribution sites which collects about 40,000 of food. Individuals and corporations have donated funds with the intention that the funds are used for the construction and related costs for the new building. In 2023, the organization completed a zoning application that included expenses of $7275. The balance in the fund for the new building is $117,920 at 12/31/23. In 2024, an individual donor contributed $40,000 to the KFB with the restriction that the money be used exclusively for food purchases at Winco, Inc.
