The recipients undergo an application process and are selected by an Evaluation Committee. Scholarship recipients are able to use the funds directly for education or for any purpose that helps defray costs so they can use personal funds for their education. Externship participants are able to use the stipends to defray the costs for participating in the externship or for any other purposes. Form 990, Part III, line 3 The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program was a year-long program in which NBHP provided education and technical assistance to its member organizations to equip them to assess their organization structures through a DEI lens and determine specific initiatives that can be implemented.
