Funding was used to develop new restoration programs and sites, plant thousands of native plants and seeds, remove invasive species, convert waste biomass into biochar, and conduct activities related to restoring native prairie across the region. A major outcome of note for this project in 2023 was the first documented use and nesting by imperiled Western monarch butterflies at restoration sites, in a region where the species is functionally extirpated. 6691 0 0 The Organizational Capacity program supports the growth of TPC as a young conservation nonprofit. In 2023, funding was used to purchase equipment, expand publicity efforts, and expand our capacity to execute our mission. Following a cash flow report and projected budget, the Board determines appropriate compensation based on performance and availability of funds for payroll. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The Phoenix Conservancy's webpage underwent a major rebuild in 2023, creating the opportunity to post such documents directly on the webpage in subsequent years. In the meantime, all documents are available to the public by request, either via the website or by email.
