Dr. Kanne selects the projects for which grants are made by first meeting, along with Mr. Dominguez, the community leaders to assess their proposal, taking into account their needs and vetting their organization's capabilities for providing their own invested capital and ongoing maintenance. A detailed accounting of each project is provided to Dr. Kanne as the project is under construction as well as upon completion.
