The exhibit featured over 25 Black and Brown artists whose work was inspiring and thought-provoking and a market with Black and Brown business owners. The purpose of the art show and market is to support and encourage local Black entrepreneurship and group economics. -Crisis Relief Program: Provided over $100,000 in direct monetary support to community members in need. Many individuals and families face financial hardships, and our program's support for rent, childcare, food, medical bills, utilities, and more made a substantial difference in community member's lives. -Bro Brunch: An event for Black men to come together, share experiences, and discuss topics that are often considered taboo in the Black community. Bro Brunch provided a safe and supportive environment for open conversations that helped over 100 Black men each quarter foster understanding and build a stronger sense of community. Panel discussions and interactive activities further enhanced the depth of these conversations. -DOPE: District Organizing Project Engage aimed to transform how we engage and organize with each other and within communities. Through DOPE, we practiced building and transforming with long-term vision. DOPE included 7 district leads + a team of volunteers. Each lead had a plan to mobilize and build community power by COA districts with BIPOC leadership to: develop and invest in ongoing community relationships in each district, increase engagement with non-voters, youth, and elders of color, build leadership to effect systems transformation at the municipal level, build a grassroots ground strategy to promote and advance AJC's social justice agenda. Every district lead coordinated and worked directly with AJC, while the district's team of volunteers was encouraged to help envision, design, and execute a plan to engage with people in their district.
