All of these programs were free for youth to enjoy, thus our only expenses were for paying our coaches who put them on. Some of our grant recipients, like Cultures United, we work with on the ground to implement the funding for our soccer programming, which is the Foundation's marquee program. Others, like the Mighty Oak Project Inc., we speak with via Zoom and met with earlier this summer as well in person in Michigan to oversee programming implementation directly. Our biggest program achievement was setting up the CLR Academy in south Seattle in partnership with Cultures United FC. CLR stands for Community, Leadership, Revolution and is a program that was born in Yisiplanti, Michigan three years ago to help children get outside and mitigate gang violence. Working directly with the programs founders, we launched a chapter here in Seattle. The program met every Saturday over the summer for 2+ hours and provided sports education, activity, and healthy food to underserved children in the area. We also focused a main portion of our energy on fundraising to be able to build up financial stability to then go out and create much more impact in 2024 and beyond. Part VI, Line 11b This 990 form was compiled in concert with the organization's Director, President, and Bookkeeper. All files and documents were maintained throughout the year and shared consistently to ensure their accuracy with regular meetings for review. The trio then filed this 990 together and have shared the summary results with the full board. Quarterly meetings were also held throughout the past year with the full organization to review progress towards goals and our financial position. All members of the organization also have access at any time to a shared drive where these documents are stored. Part VI, Line 15a The governing body made a decision for payment of the director based on the market data, needs, and relevant skills as they pertained to the role. Part VI, Line 19 Our website is easy to navigate and requests may be made directly through there to write to our organization. Our director's contact information is also readily available on the website if interested parties want to reach out directly to them. But parties do need to reach out for this information. Part XII, Line 1 Our bookkeeper (independent contractor) for the Foundation determined to switch to accrual because of significant business expenses that were incurred in this period, but not paid until the following period.
