Conditional to payment of each grant, school management signs a receipt acknowledged funds received and agree to use the funds for purposes specified by NHSI. Each school receiving a grant is required to maintain detailed records of actual expenditures, which are presented and reviewed by NHSI directors on a quarterly basis. Each month, a budget-to-actual comparison is performed to monitor the financial position of each school, and the uses of grants relative to planned and approved expenditures.
