Our process begins with regular training sessions for all members. These sessions cover the basics of conflicts of interest including what constitutes a conflict of interest and how to avoid them. We also provide specific examples of situations that could potentially create a conflict of interest. Once members have been trained we have a system in place to monitor their behavior. This includes regular reviews of financial disclosures as well as ongoing communication with members to ensure they are aware of any potential conflicts. If we do identify a potential conflict of interest we take immediate steps to address it. This may include removing the employee from certain projects or duties or in some cases terminating their employment.
