This statement is also located on the homepage of the school's website. 1 Tuition assistance grants 147 691883 0 Schedule I, Part I, Line 2 The School grants needs-based tuition assistance to any student demonstrating financial need. A small percentage of students receive awards based on their status as children of a terminated employee who received remission under the school's QTRP. The School uses an outside service to collect financial information from applicant families. Families are made aware of this opportunity at the time of application and are directed to the service via a website link from the School's website. The School has a Tuition Assistance Committee charged with reviewing the award recommendations submitted by the outside service and making all tuition discounts. The School makes grants to its supporting Foundation of cash received as gifts to its general endowment fund. The School monitors the Foundation's accounting of endowment investments to ensure that these fund are invested in accordance with the donors' intent. The Board Chair is responsible for reviewing the signed statements and insuring that interested persons are in compliance with the conflict of interest policy. Should any potential conflicts of interest be disclosed the board member or officer would be asked to refrain from participation in any deliberation or decision with regard to matters affected by the relationship. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 In 2020, the Board studied compensation data for Heads of School nationwide in similar schools(compared by size, mission and location) as well as retained the services of a search firm to conduct research on competitive salaries for this position, before voting on the salary for the head of school. Salary for the Head of School in future will be set and approved by the board of trustees after evaluation and documentation of salaries for heads of similar schools and the decision reached will be documented by the board and implemented by the Director of Human Resources upon their direction. The Director of Human resources routinely performs compensation studies for key school personnel (including the Director of Finance) and reports on comparable salary for the Director of Finance and other key employees. Results are documented in the human resource files, and, for the Head of School, in the board minutes.
