The board of Raising Malawi, Inc. reviews and approves the specific foreign project. The funds are earmarked for specific Raising Malawis related activities. Part I Line 2 Annual budgetary process includes a description of the charitable purposes to be served by the foreign organization. The board determines that the purposes of the activities for which funding is requested are consistent with the charitiable purposes of Raising Malawi and worthy of funding. Part I Line 2 The recipient foreign organization is required to submit a detailed budget showing proposed expenditures with sufficient detail for the board to determine the economic efficiency of the project being funded. The recipient organization is required to provide a list of specific charitable goals it wants to accomplish with the funds and a statement of the standards by which progress toward goals can be measured. Part I Line 2 A point person is designated within the recipient organization to be responsible for overseeing the funded projects subject to the control of the board. The recipient organization and its responsible persons are required to commit fully, faithfully and timely to comply with Raising Malawis reporting and monitoring requirements.
