      <ProgramSrvcAccomplishmentGrp>
        <DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>The Autoinflammatory Alliance paid $77,975.48 USD, which was the equivalent of $100,000 CAD to support the formation of the Translational Autoinflammatory Research Network (TARN) to support autoinflammatory research for North America, including the US and Canada. The funds were matched 100% by Western University Ontario Lawsons Research Fund so half the funds came from our org from the US, and it was matched in Canada for the collaboration. The TARN Network is dedicated to advancing autoinflammatory research, genomics research, education and networking with medical professionals to help experts help clinicians and advance training for healthcare providers. The funds were used to start the TARN network, and eventually this network will involve not just the US and Canada, but North and South America, and other parts of the world with unmet needs, including Africa and Asia as well.</DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>

We also had building lighting in various parts of the US and the world, and an in-person events hosted by local patients in Michigan, and also at Union Station and the WWI Memorial in Kansas City, MO building lighting with food, freebies and items from our org for all attendees. $3638.60. <DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>Support for the International Society for Auto-inflammatory Diseases (ISSAID) 2023 Congress and Advocacy program for patients, patient orgs and advocates and healthcare professionals at the ISSAID Congress. The costs included covering the costs for the advocacy program, and having it broadcast virtually as well, so patients, advocates and healthcare providers globally that could not attend the program could participate virtually. Plus costs for 2 presenters to attend the program (one presenter in Canada, and one from South America), plus food, handouts and materials for the program. In addition, the Autoinflammatory Allliance hosted a nonprofit booth that we used to bring awareness to our organization efforts, give out educational materials, and have a space to share with other organizations and patients to gather. ISSAID asked for donations, so we paid for this table for 2500 CAD. Also, costs for flight, hotel and travel in Canada, plus bringing supplies in suitcases to the congress was paid for Karen Durrant only, and she personally paid for the cost for bringing Seth Durrant, who spoke at the conference, so that was not covered by org expenses. The Autoinflammatory Alliance paid for a patient advocate affilated with the Autoinflammatory Alliance from upstate NY and one from Canada to attend and assist with the congress, table, and help share the findings from the Congress to our patient community in our patient groups, and the latest research, and assist with the programs. Receipts are available for all expenses. Karen Durrant paid some funds out of pocket for the congress program that she put on her personal credit card, with receipts that were not paid back to her in 2023, but will be paid in 2024. She realized he had not used the org credit card for all costs. All volunteer service, no one is paid, and took time off from work to help with this program. Total costs $11,574.12</DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>

        <ExplanationTxt>Grant paid to support the formation of the Translational Autoinflammatory Research Network (TARN). The funds were paid in USD to equal 100,000 CAD, which was matched by the University of Western Ontario. TARN is a North American Research Network with researchers in the US and Canada, and these funds were put to use to develop the network, support an administrative assistant for the research program that has helped to apply for more grants, and support the cost for the development of the TARN website, and organizational structure for the research to start, along with efforts for a genomic registry, biobank, and collaborative network to help advance new autoinflammatory treatment research, a clinical network and education for healthcare professionals. The steering committee is unpaid, and this is a voluntary research effort, but funds we donated were needed, and are being put to use to directly support patient-driven and much needed research for autoinflammatory diseases that will benefit many. TARN also will help with efforts for areas of the world with unmet needs, including South America, Africa and Asia with the network later on, but all funds donated by our org are being put to use for the initial startup of this network, and to secure matching funds paid directly to the TARN network, not to our org.</ExplanationTxt>
