The Museum's program expenses and other capitalized costs related to its mission is an approximation of the value of other support the Museum provided on the Historical Society's behalf. Part IV, Section D, Line 3: Lake Winnipesaukee Antique Museum's (the Museum) supported organization, the Lake Winnipesaukee Historical Society (the Historical Society), has a significant voice in the use of the Museum's income and assets by virtue of a shared Board member, who plays an active role in determining how the Museum can consistently and reliably best support the work of the Historical Society. The governing documents of the Museum specifically require that one of its trustees be appointed from the governing body of the Historical Society, ensuring strong and regular communication between the two organizations. The Museum and the Historical Society work closely together in their day-to-day operations, providing additional certainty that the Museum's assets and income appropriately support the goals and objectives of the Historical Society. Part IV, Section E, Line 2a: The Museum and its supported organization are engaged in preserving historical artifacts. The Museum directly furthers the exempt purpose of the Historical Society by displaying these unique artifacts and related items for the general public, while volunteers and personnel from the Historical Society organize events around the artifacts on display. Additionally, the Historical Society is the sole eligible recipient of any grants from the Museum. Part IV, Section E, Line 2b: The Museum displays antique artifacts and related items in a public forum in conjunction with the Historical Society, which represents substantially all of the Museum's activities. The Historical Society organizes events and programs based on the Museum collections. But for the Museum's involvement and work to obtain objects to display, the Historical Society would undertake this program function.
