Our first supported community in Cebu, Philippines, provides free shelter through our home away from home, nutrition and medical support, transportation to medical care, and much needed emotional and spiritual care. Through our programs and services, we help alleviate the barriers that hinder children from accessing the care that they need as families are reminded that they are not alone. We have come alongside more than 350 children and their families during the most difficult time of their lives and have helped to lighten their burden and most importantly give them hope. Home Away From Home Shelter & Transportation Expenses - Enrolled 48 new children in the Everlasting Hope program. Provided 6936 overnight stays for children and family members to stay near the hospital while receiving treatment. Provided 930 transportation rides to medical care. This home allows families who come from far distances to have a temporary home close to the hospital. The environment also provides a community of support for people going through similar situations. The children have an opportunity to play with other kids and participate in positive activities to help them get through this difficult time. (Grants $55,844) 0 X 55844 Medical Crisis Funds to help defray the costs of treatment. Extended assistance to 98 families in response to specific medical needs. Everlasting Hope also provided nutritional supplementation (vitamins, rice, milk) 974 times to help build the immune system and support the general health of the children. (Grants $6981) 0 X 6981 Community Support - We provide an inviting and welcoming location for any family to come, even if they aren't staying in our shelter. We celebrated the birthdays of 62 children and granted 10 "wishes come true." Provided counseling services 74 times. We came alongside 20 families as they grieved the loss of their child. Provided referral services through our Social Work Team for 21 families to avail assistance and support from other agencies.
