We believe children benefit in every measurable way the presence of a loving, committed father in the home. Other Part III - Exempt Purpose: Scripture and modern science both confirm that absentee fathers pose a significant threat to the spiritual, emotional, and even physical health of the abandoned child. We long to see this problem reversed. To do this, we recruit men to model healthy masculinity by serving the modern orphan with wraparound services, and teach tomorrows man the biblical definition of authentic masculinity. We envision a day with Less Orphans, More Families, and in the meantime, continue to point every fatherless child to our Abba Father (Galatians 4:6). Other Page 2 Part III - Line 4a - Statement of Service Program Accomplishments 2023 was a banner year for Man Up and Go! By Gods grace we launched Patros, our brand-new discipleship platform for men in the church. This video-based tool teaches churches and men anywhere in the country how they can be men of God who do something to end fatherlessness, thus fulfilling our mission statement: mobilizing men to fight for the fatherless as Jesus commands. Over 167 male Man Up volunteers mentored, coached, or served those impacted by fatherlessness in 2023, and we believe this number will only increase due to Patros. These volunteers, along with our staff, provided over 6500 family support services to caregivers, foster families, and foster youth this past year. In fact, of the 237 caregivers (serving roughly 500 children throughout the year), 100% chose to keep their fostering license open at least in part due to the services received from Man Up and Go. One family said: I just want to tell you that my family and I are grateful for your support. With 8 kids and some with tough issues, exhaustion is real and so any night (like this last Friday) where we dont have to prep/cook/clean up after dinner is an immeasurable blessing. Even beyond the food, to tell all of our kids (bio, foster or adopted) that their dinner was covered by servants hearts is one more seed into growing their OWN servants hearts in a time when there is such entitlement and selfishness. So thank you, thank you, thank you. We are very blessed. In addition to these families, Man Up coached and mentored 111 youth who are either in a group home setting (foster care) or who have aged-out of the system of care and are working towards becoming responsible adults who break the cycle of fatherlessness. Of these young men: - 98% report stable housing - 94% attend school or maintain employment - 94% had no interaction with law enforcement - 89% were adequately addressing their mental health - 83% were substance free We also positioned ourselves as a thought leader in the area of Fatherhood Engagement by securing several new contracts with both private and state agencies to coach, mentor, and help reunify fathers who have temporarily lost their children to the child welfare system or who are at-risk of doing so. To do this, we secured $2.2 million in funding over the next 3 years through allocations in Floridas HB7065 and began implantation of this program. Our goal is to impact over 650 fathers over the next 3 years, helping these men see their inherent worth as image bearers and how they can love and lead their families and children better. Internationally, Man Up oversaw 9 Cohorts and over 120 men (in Uganda and Ethiopia) complete our Authentic Masculinity Program (AMP) aimed at producing men who love Jesus, love their families, and break generational curses of toxic masculinity and fatherlessness. These men undergo biblical manhood training, business training, and qualified men receive a small loan to start or enhance an existing business. With an over 90% graduation rate, families and communities are being changed for the better! Wives report husbands who now are helping with household chores and caring for the children, and men are growing in their faith (many received Christ for the first time!), and we are seeing cooperation in business produce loan repayments over 70%, are highest number ever! We also continue to see nearly 80 children sponsored every single month through our Child Sponsorship Program, kids who receive a Christian education and food security through our donors and Man Up Champions. Over 30 of these Champions visited these children, many of them fatherless, through one of our 4 mission trips. After nearly a decade of partnership, we continue to see children in the sponsorship program graduate high school at substantially higher rates than in the rest of the developing world. We praise God for these achievements because without Him, none of it is possible, and none of it matters. We make it our aim to share the Gospel with every program constituent. Some believe, some dont, but they all understand that we are motivated by Jesus Christ our Savior and His love for us.
