Line 28) Wakulla County Farm Bureau helped sponsor Food Check Out Day. This event brings awareness to the general public of the affordable and abundant food supply in the U.S. This day marks the point in time in the year when an average family has earned enough income to pay for an entire year's food supply. Line 29) We participated in Farm City Week. This event celebrates and recognizes the partnership between rural and urban communities which make and grow a safe an abundant food source. We had a display at the local public library with books illustrating the importance of agriculture. Line 30) We participated in Halloween Story Walk where we had the opportunity to engage with parents and children. We were able to discuss the importance of agriculutre in our community.
