Two modes are offered: In House and Home Schooling. For Home Schooling, the Academy provides the material, assistance to the parents and administers the tests and scores. While the curriculum and methodology used was the one prescribed by Accelerated Christian Education, School of Tomorrow, the curriculum was adapted for online use too. Other curricular activities like Honor Roll Recognition activity, field trips, mass, field day, "día de la puertorriqueñidad", Christmas Lights celebration and spiritual retreats are celebrated to complement the current educational curriculum. The Honor Roll Recognition activity recognized 105 students for their achievements. Additionally, 13 kindergarten students were promoted to Level 1; 15 students made their path to secondary school or level 7; 12 students made their path to high school and 21 obtained their high school diploma. All of them had the opportunity to celebrate these major achievements with their family, supervisors and monitors in their respective commencement ceremony or promotion activities. Part VI, Line 2 The President of the Board of directors and the Key employee have a family relationship. The key employee is not a voting member. The president offers her work pro bono. The key employee received a compensation during the tax year 2023 of $35,100 which did not exceed the IRS thresholds of $100.000. Explanation: The complexity of the F990 and a shortage of human resources with the capacity to work accurately with this filing are the main reasons to be late. The second one is serious illness of key and support personnel that help the Academy with this task. The electronic Form 990 represents a big step towards adding efficiency to the process, and specially reducing its complexity. Still the Academy needs to improve the time to process and reconcile their banking accounts and submit good and transparent information to the CPA accountants to finalize the Financial Statements. Some progress has been achieved by making use of some Sage 50 efficiency tools like memorized purchase orders and invoices. But this takes a significant amount of time and a deep knowledge of the Sage 50 accounting system. It is a very specialized work that not many people can perform. This memorized purchase orders and invoices have been set up with the same labor resources, since this type of resource is very expensive. The organization regrets to solicit extensions to file the F990 every year. But this organization and its personnel are very serious about their mission of providing Christian and bilingual education to the low- and middle-income community and complying with the government requirements as well. The Academy has made its goal to submit the F990 return next year on time.
