Coal County Extended Care has a historic and continuing relationship with Coal County General Hospital Holding Company (Holding). Holding is a parent organization and provides board control and oversight to the supported organizations. All of the entities have a mission of continuous improvement of the health needs of the people of Coalgate and surrounding communities. Part IV, Section D, Line 3 Holdings is responsive to the needs and demands of its supported organizations. Six of the seven board members also serve on the board of a supported organization. Coal County General Hospital has 4 members of its board who serve Holdings and Extended has 2 members. In addition, the CEO and the CFO serve both entities. Due to this close and continuous working relationship, the board members have the ability to influence Holdings' decisions regarding the use of its income and assets.
