We were misinformed that this was the appropriate filing method, not realizing we must submit electronically. Upon receiving our paper return returned to us in the mail, we began filing electronically. However at that time we realized our returns from 2021 and 2022 needed amending. Now that we have completed and submitted those amendments - as of today - we are submitting our accurate and completed 2023 amendment electronically as advised. Since April we have been in open communication with the IRS via telephone (as you will see in your records). With IRS telephone guidance we have made an appeal and navigated this process as best we can. However, these organizations run entirely on community donations with no paid staff or officers (ie. no experts, accountants or CPAs).
