Where possible, the Foundation directly pays the vendors providing goods or services to the recipient. Recipients can receive prepaid debit cards or cash to cover any out of pocket expenses that could not be pre-arranged with a vendor (e.g. meals, tips, gas, etc.). For shopping sprees, recipients are met by a Foundation representative at the selected shopping center and provided with prepaid debit cards. Any debit card or cash allocations are done within a standardized budget developed by the Foundation's President and Treasurer and approved by the Foundation's full Board of Directors. Any allocations beyond the typical grant budget are presented to Board of Directors for approval. All supporting expense documentation is retained by the Foundation.
