In its 2022-2023 season, the ASO presented 7 Masterworks concerts, one Pops concert, one recital, a free community engagement concert called Symphony in the Park, expanded its ALT ASO chamber orchestra series to 4 concerts, and facilitated the return of the 10-day, 40-event Asheville Amadeus Festival. ASO's core music education programs continued their growth, including the Asheville Symphony Youth Orchestra, its "Symphony Talk" adult education program, and its Hip Hop Folktale digital curriculum collaboration with Secret Agent 23 Skidoo. ASO also brought back several programs eliminated or paused due to COVID, including its live Music in the Schools program serving every elementary school in the County and City, as well as its Young People's Concerts, a live, full orchestral program for every 5th grader in the city and county schools.
