<DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>Huntington, South Africa: We employ women as educators (3 women), administrators (2 part-time women), and a program consultant/curriculum author (1 part-time woman). We educate aspiring entrepreneurs and employees, and we better communities through our donations of crafted products and sponsored events. (While learning their trade, the learners practice sewing on projects that are donated locally. In Huntington, the women made uniforms for themselves and for local schools.) In June 2023, eight women graduated from our sewing apprenticeship program. In July 2023, another six women began their seamstress journey. They will graduate in 2024. Program costs include their stipends, meals, and transportation to/from the program, plus learning materials and training equipment.</DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>

<DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>Mabarhule, South Africa: The By Grace Textile and Community Center, where our sewing classes are taught, needed some electrical work completed, so we spent $1,904.12 on maintenance. We are currently employing 5 teachers from the local communities (2 full time and 3 part time). We engage with the nearby high schools, ensuring that teenagers have a safe place to go when school gets out, all while learning a skill that will serve them throughout their lives! This year, 60+ teens were taught in the program. While studying, the learners produce reusable sanitary napkins that are donated to local women through a partnership with CefPads and tote bags that they can sell for a small profit to help pay their high school fees.</DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>

<ExplanationTxt>Our Huntington location is the embodiment of our mission to educate women so they are able to earn a living wage. In addition to the salaries paid to the Master Seamstress, we spent $22,514.24 running this program. This includes a monthly stipend (~$81/mth each) for the learners (8 women Jan-June 2023 and 6 women May-Dec 2023), daily meals, transportation to and from the training program, and training materials. By offering this financial support to our program attendees, we are able to attract top tier talent who wouldn't otherwise be able to participate. Many of our attendees are mothers and/or are responsible for providing for their families while still attending our training program. Our Mabarhule location employs 5 teachers every year, and we spent $2,878.21 on supplies for our educational and training program, including sewing machines, interlockers, curriculum, practice materials, and more.</ExplanationTxt>
