Generally accepted accounting principles provide accounting and disclosure guidance about positions taken by the organization in its tax returns that might be uncertain. Management has considered its tax positions and believes that all of the positions taken by WTC in its federal and state exempt organization tax returns are more likely than not to be sustained upon examination. WTC, Inc.'s returns are subject to examination by federal and state taxing authorities, generally for three and four years, respectively, after they are filed. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b The Audit Committee reviews and approves annual audit before the Form 990 is filed. Executive Director and CFO review the Form 990 to confirm it conforms to the audited financials, before filing. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c Annually, all members of the Board of Directors are required to review the organization's conflict of interest questionnaire. Once completed, all Board members are certifying their compliance by signing the organizations Ethics Books, and in doing so, confirms that they have provided full transparency. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15a The Human Resources Department is responsible for coordinating the continuing internal review of all compensation and for making sure that each job is evaluated and assigned a job grade and salary range.
