Every performance at state-of-the-art McIntyre Hall on the Skagit Valley College campus in Mount Vernon, Washington presented beloved classics alongside passionate and colorful works from lesser-known composers. All concerts featured world-class guest artists who dazzled our audiences. Our 2022-23 season wrapped up with a fun sold-out pops concert entitled "Cloak and Dagger". 36051 0 5850 MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAM: SCHOOL AND FAMILY CONCERT Series. We were delighted to finally bring back our popular School and Family Concert series in January 2023, entertaining and educating fifth grade students from all area school districts and families from throughout the region. This series presented a lively introduction to the instruments and music of an orchestra; this year we featured short musical works from across the Americas. We were thrilled to include Spanish translation provided by our guest conductor, Sebastian Serrano-Ayala; Spanish-speaking kids in the audiences were electrified! The former Treasurer, Finance Committee and the Board review the public disclosure copy. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c All employees and Board members sign an annual conflict of interest certification. If an individual becomes aware of a potential conflict of interest, they must immediately disclose it to their supervisor or to the Board President or Secretary. In the event of a conflict of interest, a written management plan for the conflict is developed and signed by the individual and the their supervisor or to the Board President or Secretary. The management plan identifies the procedures the individual and the Symphony will follow to prevent the conflict of interest from affecting Skagit Symphony and separates the individual from Skagit Symphony activities that could be affected by the conflict of interest. For Board members, a copy of the management plan is given to the Board Secretary, who ensures compliance with any recusal, voting and reporting components of the plan. The Board President ensures compliance in the event of a conflict involving the Secretary.
