In 2023, the Organization provided a total of 27 awards totaling $48,600. Of this amount, were 16 awards totaling $31,500 to area recipients, generally high school graduates looking to enter college or other vocational training programs. In addition, there were 11 awards totaling $17,100. This amount is composed of eight (8) scholarships totaling $6,600; and three (3) grant awards totaling $10,500. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The Program Director (PD) and a Board Officer, as available, work with the consultant and review the 990 and and all of the supporting schedules. The From 990 is next reviewed by the entire Board of Directors for approval prior to submission to the IRS. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c The Organization maintains all of its policies and procedures in a manual available to all Board members. The Program Director and executive committee work to ensure compliance with the conflict of interest policy and all Board policies on a continuing basis. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 The Organization strives to provide comparable compensation levels to similar area nonprofit organizations by conducting informal surveys and inquiries. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The Organization complies with all regulatory requirements for public document disclosure. Upon receipt of a properly executed written request for various policies and documents required for public disclosure, the Organization diligently works to provide these public documents , generally within ten (10) business days of the receipt of such a request. The Organization does not share its internal financial statements. Form 990, Part XI, Line 9 In 2023 the Organization recorded a Prior Period Adjustment in the amount of $13,231. This amount is comprised of the following: 1. $11,949 due to the reconciling of fiscal agent account funds that were retained by the Organization from prior years operations and 2. $1,282 of deferred revenue that was not recorded in the period that it was earned and was subsequently recorded to revenue in the current period. 3. There was a minor rounding discrepancy in the Net Assets account balance.
