Individuals served - 6,500 312071 312071 Local Initiatives for Education provided medical training (ortho- plasties) for the Orthopedic Departments of Kenyatta Teaching Hospital Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya and Mulago Hospital, Kampala, Uganda. Medical training in arthoplastic surgery as well as the devices and implants were provided to doctors at both the Kenya and Uganda hospitals for indigent patients. The training enhanced the surgeon's skills to appropriately provide medical treatment. Medical camps were conducted in South Sudan through the provision of medicines to local doctors to administer in areas with limited healthcare.
